A common question I’ve been receiving lately is if the rates for life insurance vary by state similar to auto insurance and home insurance. The quick answer is no, life insurance rates are the same for all states with the exception being New York.

New York has different insurance laws compared to the other 49 states including the District of Columbia.

Therefore, unless you reside in New York, your location will not affect your premiums.
